The sea was restless that morning. A young dolphin named Blue spotted a sleek gray shark circling near a school of small fish. Blue knew the shark could attack at any moment. Without hesitation, he leaped out of the water and splashed furiously, trying to warn the humans on a nearby boat. Onboard, a man named John noticed the sudden flurry of water. “Look at that dolphin! Something’s wrong!” he shouted. Blue didn’t stop. He twisted, spun, and leapt around the boat, spraying water high into the air, making sure John and the crew followed him toward the danger. The shark lunged, but Blue darted skillfully between it and the boat, keeping it at a distance. Blue circled John’s boat repeatedly, his quick flips and splashes guiding the humans closer to the shark’s path. John and the crew carefully steered the boat, moving to block the shark and protect the fish. Blue continued his daring maneuvers, leaping over the waves and spinning near the boat. The shark followed for a moment, but Blue’s agility and clever tactics led it away from the humans, toward deeper waters. Finally, the shark swam off, and the waters calmed. Blue floated near the boat, exhausted but triumphant. John smiled and reached out, gently patting the water. Blue leapt out of the sea one last time, splashing water toward John as if to say thank you. From that day on, whenever John sailed near the reef, Blue would appear, jumping and spinning joyfully beside the boat, a playful reminder of the day the little dolphin saved the day—and repaid the humans for their help in keeping the sea safe.
