Raising Lazarus (Resurrection Lazarus) Jesus stood before a dark cave, and the air was filled with the heavy smell of death. Mary wept in his arms, her voice hoarse and desperate. The crowd whispered among themselves, wondering if the scene was hopeless. Jesus raised his eyes, with tears glistening. He ordered the people to remove the huge stone that had sealed the tomb entrance. People hesitate, fearing the stench of decay. The stone was pushed aside, and the dark cave opened deeper. Jesus stood at the entrance of the cave and took a deep breath. "Lazarus, come out!" His voice pierced through the dead silence. The crowd took a step back, waiting for an impossible response.
