Title: Brave Little Mouse Yongyong In a quiet forest under the golden sun, lived a tiny mouse named Yongyong. He was the smallest in his family and the shyest in the whole meadow. He often hid behind leaves when others talked, and he was afraid of even the flutter of a butterfly. All the animals in the forest were friendly—except for one. A sneaky red fox named Fina liked to scare the smaller animals and steal their food. The animals were scared but didn’t know how to stop her. One sunny morning, the animals gathered under the big tree. “We need a plan,” said Rabbit. “But we must be fast and smart.” Yongyong listened from behind a bush. His heart was pounding. “I’m not strong,” he thought, “but maybe I can help in another way.” That night, Yongyong stayed awake, thinking hard. Suddenly, an idea popped into his head. He smiled for the first time in days. The next day, he gathered some shiny stones, a long rope, and a leaf as big as his body. He tied the rope between two trees and covered it with leaves. Then he placed the shiny stones nearby to catch the fox’s eye. When Fina the fox came sneaking into the forest, she saw the sparkling stones. “Ooo, treasure!” she grinned and ran forward—right into the trap! WHUMP! She tripped on the rope and landed in a pile of soft leaves, tied and tangled. The animals rushed out. “Who did this?” asked Squirrel. “I... I did,” said a quiet voice. Yongyong stepped out from behind a mushroom. Everyone gasped. “Yongyong?” said Rabbit. “You’re so small!” “But very smart!” said Owl. “You’ve saved us all!” From that day on, Yongyong wasn’t just the smallest mouse. He was the bravest. And when butterflies fluttered near him, he smiled instead of hiding. Moral: You don’t need to be big to be brave—just clever and kind.
