Title: Hippo Baba Finds a Friend In the wide grassy savanna, there lived a big, gentle hippo named Baba. He loved to laugh, splash in the river, and watch clouds. But Baba had a problem—he had no friends. Whenever he joined the other animals’ games, something went wrong. When he played tag with the monkeys, the ground shook. When he jumped rope with the rabbits, the rope snapped. When he danced with the flamingos, they all fell over. “Oh no,” Baba sighed, “I always mess things up.” One afternoon, Baba sat by the river alone, watching little turtles swim. “Maybe I’m too big to have fun with others,” he thought sadly. Suddenly, the sky turned dark. Thick clouds rolled in. A storm was coming! The river rose quickly, and water rushed across the plains. The animals were trapped. The bridge to the other side was gone. “What do we do?” cried the zebra. “We can’t swim that far!” Baba stood up. “Maybe... I can help.” He walked into the river, his big body steady against the current. “Climb on my back,” he said. One by one, the animals climbed on. Baba took them safely across, again and again, until everyone was safe. When the storm passed, the animals cheered. “Baba saved us!” “You’re strong and kind,” said the giraffe. “You’re a hero!” Baba smiled. For the first time, he didn’t feel too big. He felt just right. From then on, Baba had many friends. They played games that fit everyone—slow races, splashing contests, and cloud-watching days. And when it rained, they all knew who to call. Moral: Being different can be your greatest strength. True friends will see the good in you.
