Title: Ari the Antelope and the Sky Travelers Across the hot, golden desert ran Ari, a swift young pronghorn antelope. He was faster than the wind, and he knew every dune, rock, and cactus by heart. Every year, birds flew overhead during migration, but one summer, something went wrong. A great dust storm rolled across the sky, blocking the sun and confusing the birds. Flocks scattered, tired and lost. As Ari ran along the ridge, he heard soft chirps above. “Help…” called a voice. Looking up, he saw a group of small, tired swallows swirling in circles. “We’ve lost our way!” said their leader, Wrenna. “We can’t find the path across the desert!” Ari thought for a moment. “Follow me. I know this land.” “But you’re on the ground,” Wrenna said. “I’m fast enough to guide you from below,” Ari smiled. And so, the sky travelers followed the desert runner. Ari dashed through cactus valleys, across dry riverbeds, and past shaded rocks where the birds could rest. He stomped the ground in rhythms to signal turns, and the birds chirped back in thanks. They crossed the entire desert in two days. When they reached the green cliffs on the far side, the birds swooped down. “You saved us,” said Wrenna. “You’re not just fast—you’re a hero.” Ari blushed. “I just knew the way.” “Next year,” said Wrenna, “you’ll be our ground guide again.” And from then on, when the birds crossed the desert, Ari was always there—running below like a shadow with wings. Moral: Your talents can help others in ways you never imagined.
