JUDY HOPPS hustles in, wearing a tiny red scarf over her uniform. NICK WILDE leans on the front desk, sipping hot cocoa. JUDY Nick! Chief said all non-essential officers can go home. Why are you still here? NICK Hey, Carrots, somebody has to protect the city from rogue mistletoe. Clawhauser pops up from behind a mountain of Christmas cookies. CLAWHAUSER Guys! We have a code… um… festive? All the presents at Savannah Central Square just disappeared! INT. ZPD BRIEFING ROOM – MOMENTS LATER Bogo points to a hologram of the dark square, the giant Christmas tree standing lonely and bare. CHIEF BOGO Hopps. Wilde. You two are on Christmas patrol. Find those gifts and bring back the cheer. EXT. SAVANNAH CENTRAL SQUARE – NIGHT The square is nearly empty. Snowflakes drift through colored lights. Anxious families look around. Judy kneels to comfort a LITTLE SHREW holding an empty gift box. JUDY We’ll find your presents. Promise. Nick squints, spotting glittering tracks in the snow. NICK Well, that’s suspiciously sparkly. They follow the trail past closed shops and glowing windows. EXT. TUNDRA TOWN ALLEY – LATER The glitter trail ends at a pile of boxes. A small group of YOUNG ANIMALS in improvised Santa hats freeze when Judy’s flashlight hits them. TINY FOX We’re sorry! We just wanted everyone in our shelter to have gifts too. Judy and Nick share a look. JUDY You should have asked for help, not taken what wasn’t yours. The kids lower their ears and tails. NICK Lucky for you, you picked the one holiday built on second chances. INT. COMMUNITY SHELTER – NIGHT Montage: Officers, families, and the kids work together. Presents are sorted, new ones are donated, decorations go up everywhere. The shelter turns bright and cozy. EXT. SAVANNAH CENTRAL SQUARE – LATE NIGHT The presents are back under the big tree. The kids from the shelter are now invited guests, clutching new, fair gifts. Bogo clears his throat, holding a microphone awkwardly. CHIEF BOGO Zootopia… tonight, we were reminded that sharing is better than taking. Happy holidays. The crowd cheers. Snow begins to fall harder, soft and magical. Nick bumps Judy’s shoulder.
