Forest Animals: Rabbits, squirrels, birds, and other small animals that appear as background characters and react with surprise when they see the Tortoise flying. 【STORY】 Once upon a time, beside a beautiful lake in a peaceful forest, there lived a little tortoise. The Little Tortoise was happy with his life, but he had one great wish. He wanted to fly. Every day, he looked up at the sky and watched birds flying freely above the trees. He watched them spread their wings and glide through the clouds. The Little Tortoise looked at his short legs and heavy shell. Then he sighed. “If only I could fly too.” One day, two swans came to the lake to rest. The Little Tortoise quickly swam toward them. “Please help me fly,” he said. The two swans looked at him in surprise. Swan Sister asked, “You do not have wings. How could you possibly fly?” The Little Tortoise answered, “I really want to see the world from the sky. Please give me a chance.” The two swans thought for a moment. Then they came up with an idea. They found a strong wooden stick. Swan Sister held one end of the stick in her beak. The Little Tortoise heard the animals shouting. “Look!” “A flying tortoise!” “How is that possible?” The Little Tortoise felt extremely proud. He wanted everyone to know that he was flying. He almost opened his mouth. Then he remembered the warning. So he continued holding the stick tightly. The two swans kept flying. Soon, they reached an even busier part of the forest. More animals gathered below. Everyone stared at the sky. The Little Tortoise became even more excited. He wanted to shout, “Look at me! I can fly!” He forgot the warning. He opened his mouth. The wooden stick slipped away. Suddenly, the Little Tortoise began falling. He dropped rapidly toward the ground. Swan Sister and Swan Brother immediately turned around. But they were too far away to catch him. The Little Tortoise fell toward a large patch of soft grass. He landed with a heavy thump. Luckily, his hard shell protected him. He was dizzy and frightened, but he was not badly hurt. The two swans quickly flew down to check on him. The Little Tortoise lowered his head. He knew exactly what he had done wrong. He had been given the chance to fly safely. But because he wanted to show off, he had forgotten the most important rule.
